Hello again.
Hello death, my oldest friend,
can I come in? It’s been a while;
Yes please, coffee would be nice,
oh we’ve got a lot to talk about.
this and that, and of course, life, your wife,
it’s been up & down as usual, sugar & spice.
I admit, some days I avoid you like the plague,
other days, I wish it was possible to meet you,
at least, a little earlier. My vision gets so vague,
I get lightheaded and I say a little prayer.
Nothing personal, really.
I met love recently, and she’s been kind,
as nice as hosts get. yet at times I do not understand,
these weird sensations that connect women and men.
Too many skeletons, too little closets.
Oh yes please, more sugar for my coffee.
Thank you, kindly. Now, where were we?
